Avoiding cane toad poisoning

Our pets don't seem to learn from past encounters. Each year, repeat offenders are brought to veterinary clinics nationwide after being poisoned by coming into contact with a cane toad. Since cane toads are nocturnal, the easiest way to prevent exposure is to only let your pet outside under supervision or on a leash after dark.
