Let’s examine their diet- Part 4 Pellets

Pelleted food

There are currently several high-quality pelleted foods designed specifically for guinea pigs. These are not intended to be a complete diet or fed ad lib. Offering a daily recommended portion of a high-fiber, age-appropriate fortified food with stabilized vitamin C can help ensure your pet gets essential vitamins and minerals that are not sufficiently present in hay, grass, vegetables, and fruit. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions on the feeding amount; for instance, one reputable brand suggests 1/8 cup per guinea pig per day!
